The La Famia Function Centre at the Historic Wigram Manor located at 14 Henry Wigram Drive, Christchurch, is the multicultural headquarters for the La Famia Foundation NZ as well as Canterbury's elite and affordable venue for community and corporate events, family functions, executive office suites and a business/family training centre and services facility. The La Famia Foundation NZ, a Christchurch charitable trust providing community based family support services throughout the Canterbury region hosts this grand facility offering a significantly expanded dimension to the tradition of family/business and community support.
Built in 1938 as the original Officers Mess for the Royal New Zealand Air Force, and including the historic free standing Air Force Chapel; this Christchurch monument now offers spacious and mature gardens for alfresco events, luxurious conference and dining rooms, a grand ballroom; and introducing Jessie's Bar and Bistro, serving the latest in boutique licensed cafe' and cookery, including the award winning Wigram Brewery beer selections.
This magnificent two acre estate is appointed to accommodate corporate functions, social events and chapel weddings, with gourmet catering capacity from small gatherings to grand formal receptions; all serviced from an extensive commercial kitchen and scullery managed by our professional in-house Chef. The main edifice also provides Bed and Breakfast room accommodation and full service Executive Office Suites with the availability of a multi-featured business IP phone system and high speed broadband internet throughout the facility; and including 150 on-site parking spaces.

The La Famia Function Centre at Wigram Manor is a La Famia Partner Business where up to 50% of all profits are contributed back to the greater Canterbury community to subsidize La Famia services for families in need. Other La Famia Partners include the Bayou/La Famia Kitchen restaurant and function centre in Sumner; Prenzel, a specialty food and beverage company in Blenheim; and ITtelenet, Your Global Telco, an international IP phone company based in Christchurch.
